When doing my research I found that alot of different people have their own different ways of writing songs.
Things that I found:
- creating a mind map
- listening to popular songs for inspiration
- write lyrics on a true event
- base your lyrics on a social issue
- write lyrics about something that happened in your life
- find out what kind of style you want your song eg pop, rock etc
- decide what musical instruments you want to use eg. do you want it to be acoustic, piano, guitar etc
By looking at these tips I decided to try all different ways to find out which one suited me best.
